Isn't this just something? It's a live oak colonnade at Wormsloe historical site. At about 1 mile, this has to be one of the longest that exists. Live oak is a common name for a number of unrelated evergreen oaks. The trees have wide spreading crowns and they are festooned with Spanish moss, which is neither Spanish nor moss, but an epiphytic bromeliad. These are really long-lived trees.
