I almost like it better in winter than in summer, because the structure shows up so nicely. If a conifer is acceptable, how about <i>Pinus densiflora</i> 'Oculis Draconis'? We have both of these in somewhat exposed sites, gravelly, and not a lot of water in the summer. Let us know what you decide on.Ericnoreply@blogger.com
